Limitations | Responsibilities
While I have more certifications than I can count and thousands of training hours in the fields in which I work, the states of New Jersey and New York do not offer a license specifically mentioning the practice of mind-body medicine or coaching and those practices are not specifically regulated by any federal or state regulatory agency, nor have uniform educational standards or requirements with respect to mind-body medicine being adopted by any such agencies. They are not covered by insurance. The price is very affordable, and the work is effective right away so that it does not usually involve a great financial burden.
- I do not purport to diagnose or treat disease or act as your physician, and these techniques do not substitute for diagnosis or treatment from a qualified health practitioner for illnesses, injuries, or other medical Mind Body Medicine attempts to optimize the body’s overall health and vitality, but it is not to be used instead of appropriate care from a licensed professional.
- I am not a medical doctor.
- While I have done extensive research and have a lot of experience and have had numerous discussions with my clients and other medical personnel such as doctors and healers, anything I suggest to you about changes in your diet or medication are only suggestions and should be discussed with your medical doctor before you make any of the changes.
- I do not prescribe medication or supplements to you. That is not my role. I merely suggest what to discuss with your doctor who prescribed what you are taking.
That said, I have found the Mind-Body Medicine Techniques I practice to be effective for both mental and physical health challenges and for optimal functioning with different brain wirings like ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, PDD-NOS, OCD, Anxiety, Depression, Allergies, and more.
You must understand that it is your full responsibility to seek medical advice and opinion from your primary care physician (or other qualified health care provider as appropriate) regarding regular assessment and routine monitoring of your medical health or if you have symptoms that are distressing. You also must take responsibility to ensure that your use of Mind-Body Medicine does not cause a delay in, or discourage appropriate medical diagnosis of and care for any medical condition you may have.
Your experiences during our sessions are confidential, subject to the usual exceptions that you may instruct me to release information to other health care practitioners or that I may release information if subpoenaed or otherwise legally obligated or reasonably allowed to do so (including circumstances where there is clear and imminent danger to yourself or another person). If I am working with other members of your family or other intimates, we will discuss in advance the kinds of information that I may and may not reveal.
As requested, I may give specific advice or suggestions. However, it is ultimately your responsibility to make your own decisions to determine the best course of action.
We enter into this services relationship with the understanding that all decisions and actions are ultimately yours, the client’s.
The practitioner is not held responsible or liable for what you do or do not do as a result of the coaching or healing process.
